My license was expired by a couple days. Couldnt rent a car in my name. My husband rented a car and was approved by the manager @ Long Beach Airport Hertz to use my member points and get the discount. Would have had to pay $200 more if he were renting as a walk up customer. Thank you
Yes, I can book a car. But I can access less account info than my phone has, I cannon manage my account through the app. I dont like that. Also, on my IPad, the app does not orient horizontally, it only works vertically, my case with keyboard holds my iPad horizontally, so I have to tilt my head, dumb.
Dear hertz If this was 2007 and you app was the first one published in appstore then it would be awesome. Consider looking at the features offered by competitors or just other successful apps, You will be surprised how far UX design has gone in the last 10 years.
Clumsy stupid app - pain in the arse to later add flight info. OMG, SUCH A LONG PAINFUL WAY, to go back at a later time to add in your flight info and arrival time. Whoever wrote this app is an idiot.
Fax number required to make a reservation??? What decade is this? Also: localizes language automatically based on geolocation. For example, I am booking from Seoul but cannot read Korean. No apparent way to control this in app. Argh!
Ive used hertz for a while, and am a gold member. The app is great for making or changing reservations, including with accumulated points. Not much I can think of to change.
Love the app. Use it even inflight! Best travel app I use!
Buggy and inconsistent and it seems if I make changes they dont get communicated down the line. I usually will choose the website over the App which is a bummer for a frequent traveler.
Great it allowed me to change my reservation quickly and easily I had accounted reservation and did it great
Easy to use. Convenient and functional.unless you have to update card info, stay too long, etc. But if you dont have any such conditions its great.
iPad version doesnt work in any way. iPhone version - adopts local language when traveling then does not allow language change. Need to delete and reinstall to recover. Pretty unacceptable.
App works well - no issues creating or cancelling reservations.
Im a Hertz Gold Club Member and once I input my HGC# and password the reservation process was SIMPLE! I found it VERY easy to use. For anybody that doesnt want to wait online, join the HGC, its free and takes 5 minutes and when you land you go to Hertz look at the board which lists all the names of the HGC members in alphabetical order. Your last name will have a parking space number. Goto that space, get in your car and GO. Very very easy and quick. Rather than wait in long lines that could be an Hour or longer depending on the airport and rental car company simply join Hertz Gold Club for free and SKIP ALL THE MADNESS! I love it and their rewards program is good too!!!
Im a Presidents Club member, which means I rent A LOT from Hertz, and I still avoid the app as much as possible. The search results never make sense, and using it on the iPhone is terrible. Then I made a rewards points rental and the app process is so backwards I ended up making a regular reservation then had to call and fight for them to change the reservation. Which is why I just call them anyway. So a big warning - if you are going to make a rewards reservation - pick the rewards option in the first page, THEN you have to remind them at the end that you really want to use points. Why the options dont appear already with the points info, like every other transportation app, I dont understand. Just call in.
I have used this app for some time and find that it gets better with each update. Very simple to use. I can make a reservation in less than a minute. Also easy to make changes to reservations. My only difficulty is that I have had some trouble when using points. I must be missing something in the process. I have found it much easier to call the customer service line to make reservations with points. The reps are extremely helpful. Takes a little longer but Im good with it.
